Two Top Fives Highlight Weekend

Johnny had another strong weekend on the USMTS trail. Friday he rolled into Lakeside Speedway. IN his heat race he ran 3rd and this kept him out of the B Main. Johnny started 12th. Early in the race he had a flat. The crew changes it during a yellow and he rejoined the tail of the field. Johnny was able to navigate the holes and blast back through the field, earning a 5th place finish.

Saturday he moved south to Salina Highbanks Speedway in Pryor, OK. It was another 3rd place finish in his heat, but this time he started one spot better in the feature compared to a night before, 11th. The track was dominant on the top side and the #1st was on the money. Johnny moved up to fourth during the course of the first 30 laps of the feature. On the final restart with 5 laps to go he picked off one more position and finished 3rd.

 

Weekend number three for the 2015 USMTS Hunt for the Championship took Johnny and his Penn Brothers team to Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas. He also ran up front in some of the sport's biggest paying races. He wrapped up 5th place in the final USMTS standings.
